Just as Bastiat informed us almost two centuries past, we must look not only at the seen, but the unseen. Recently, a meme among those opposed to Obamacare is that it will stifle medical innovation. And as that innovation goes, so too will many lives be lost, live that would otherwise be saved.
That is the unseen. It is not a new idea, nor one that even needs much explaining. But then again, since broken windows seem to be this administrations modus operandi, maybe that’s the plan all along.
It sure is considerably cheaper to not treat dead people than to treat living ones. Cost savings…hopenchange!!!
